not too late

It's not too late to make some resolutions for 2010. Here's a great list to spur on your thinking. See Donald Whitney's "Ten Questions to Ask at the Start of a New Year or On Your Birthday."

The article link in your blog and Keith have both referenced spiritual disciplines. Could you please list them out so that I will have a point of reference?

Julianna,

Spiritual disciplines are "activities" of the spiritual life that align a person with the things of God. The disciplines do not make us more spiritual, but are designed to be "grooves of grace" to get us out of the "rut" of dull spiritual living. There is no official list of disciplines. But, the historically classic disciplines include:

Prayer
Fasting
Meditation
Silence
Solitude
Verse memory
Study
Reading

You might take a look at Richard Foster's "Celebration of Discipline" or Donald Whitney's "The Spirit of the Disciplines" for more information.
